Writer & researcher, grounded in data.
I write, research, and build audiences — from a 60-citation literature review headed to Bloomsbury Press, to an Instagram account that reached 3 million people in a single summer. This is a working record of that range.
Adrian Socorro
Contributed the literature review for an upcoming Bloomsbury Press publication examining how AI is reshaping humanities research — built from 14 faculty interviews and grounded in 60+ scholarly sources.
This review contextualizes findings from semi-structured interviews with 14 UF humanities faculty — conducted with support from Microsoft's AI Economy Institute Program — within the existing scholarship on AI-assisted transcription, translation, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented generation. It traces where faculty see genuine promise, and where they see real risk to scholarly skill and academic integrity.
Built and ran a staff Instagram account from scratch, rebuilding content strategies to reach millions of views.
Promote UF and its resources to incoming students, build gator pride, and position the account as an approachable point of contact for questions about orientation and campus life.
Display campus resources and position myself as a point of contact.
General college-life content designed to travel outside the UF bubble and pull in followers who weren't already connected to UF.
Balancing the two grew reach without losing the authenticity that made people actually reach out.
